| The nearby town of Moissac
resting on the Tarn river, with its medieval cloisters
and Abbey is worth a trip. Valence d'Agen (10 minutes
drive) has a weekly market selling wonderful local produce. |

serves excellent food both indoors and outside on a terrace
and is great value. definitely the best for miles around. Auvillar has a selection
of good restaurants in particular L’Horloge. |

all restaurants in August, as the area is particularly

de Brulhois and there are two good vineyards in the area.
Cave de Donzac and Maison de Thermes who also supply the restaurant in

but the views are wonderful. Booking is a must in the

Bordes Longues is conveniently located in Bardigues, 7
kms from the Valence D’Agen (no. 8) turnoff on the
A62 Autoroute. |

Train Stations
Agen is the nearest mainline station which is on the Paris
to Toulouse TGV route via Bordeaux. You can alight at
Agen and rent a car with Europcar who have an office opposite
the station. Travelling from London by train will take
you about 9 hours: London to Paris (3 hours), Paris to
Agen (c.4.30hrs) Agen to Bardigues (25mins drive) |

is 3kms from Bordes Longues, it is pretty village with
a good restaurant. |
| There is a bakery in Auvillar
(5 minute drive), great for fresh croissants to enjoy
at home on the terrace). Auvillar also has a post office
and small grocery store as well as 3 restaurants. L'Horloge
has good food. There is a small market here on Sunday
mornings. |
